Like most of our benefit programs, you have several options for vision coverage, depending upon your needs.  To determine which will work best for you, consider the following:

  1. The EyeMed plan provides the most in depth coverage, with co payments for most services, then the plan pays the rest.  The chart below summarizes the EyeMed plan benefits.  You enroll in the EyeMed plan during your first 31 days of employment, or annually during Open Enrollment.  You pay the cost of the EyeMed plan.

To locate providers in the EyeMed network click here and select "Access" from the drop down menu in the Select a Network box.

2. In addition, if you participate in a BCBSMA medical or dental plan, you are eligible for vision discounts through BCBSMA's affiliation with Davis Vision.

Both medical plans available through BCBSMA cover a routine eye exam every 24 months. So if your vision care expenses are limited, you may not need additional coverage.
